Comments

Reported from Cape D'Aguilar (Refs. 124789, 125338); Hoi Ha Wan, Sharp Island (Ref. 94637); Yan Chau Tong, and Tung Ping Chau (Ref. 129329). Also reported from Mirs Bay, Tolo Channel, and Tolo Harbour (Ref. 126271). A few individuals were also recorded from a submarine cave in Conic Island (Ref. 125576). The species was observed more than 200 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494). A very popular food fish, commonly 10-15 cm. Dominated the catch in Lobster Bay (Ref. 33067). Available year round but highly abundant between February and April (Refs. 12075). Sold in live fish markets. Caught using traps (Ref. 125552) and handlines (Ref. 125576). Also Ref. 119714, 125407, 125536, 125586, 128523.
